I remember, six months ago I was in debt. I was in an emotionally vulnerable place while in the same time I had to finish my study (I don’t know which is good or not, but I was lucky that I can delay to finish it). I couldn’t afford to pay gas for my car. I lost my weight, stressed and just sleep 2-4 hours per day. I didnt know how to pay my employee. I was under pressure with a clausal from an investor for my startup company. I had a contract, a good mutual consent and then my co-founder ruins it. He took our money and THEN here I am.
I was in the
same circumstance 4 years ago, I was in debt and hit by the stone but in the
end I could handle it.
So what I
did is just praying, calm and keeps moving on
And yes, I
can bounce back. Things are changed. I can buy toys and something that I dont need but I want.
This is what I learned after post-fucked-up-times-in-my-life
1. Learn how to take risk. Entrepreneurship is an unstable path to follow, to
succeed, you have to take the leap and choose to fly. And you can only learn
this lesson by doing it. Do not regret about decision you’ve made. Let it flow
but make sure it wont end up in a dirty place.
2. It’s not about the idea its about making the idea
happens. Even if your idea and plans are solid, there is
always a chance it will end up nothing. Yes, it's true that you need to do a lot of research beforehand.
However, you can't predict what's going to happen when you launch
your product or service. Make sure your product is MVP. Do some
research, do the math!
3. The lines between your working life and your personal life
will blur. You’ll start thinking about business even when you’re away from the
office. 24/7. Even you are scheduling your work time from 9 to 5. There is
always a chance you will think about your business. You will spend time at home
and even on vacation, but you will always be on, thinking about your business.
4. Do not push yourself you could announce your
success as soon as possible. Do not ever do that. It’s not about the destination, it’s about
a journey. You will waste your time trying to prove that you are successful
instead of focusing on your startup. Keep calm, dont make a rush decision but if you have to make a big decision make it quick and simple.
5. Someone will hate you. Like it or not, there will always be people who won’t like the way you do
things, the decisions you make or the direction you're headed in. Do not ever care so much about other think about you or the way you do.
6. Do not ever give up, not without a fight. Yes, it's true that there are times when giving up is the best or only choice to be made. But before you make a call about it, make sure you have done what best for you.
7. Do not trust anyone. Even they are your family, best friend or something like that.
8. Fail fast, fail early, fail often. You will fail, who doesn't? Failing sucks. There's no other way to describe it. But if you are going to fail, make it happen sooner than later. You can learn from all of your mistakes. I'm not succeed yet but things are changed. I can sleep 4-8 if I dont have class at 7 so I can sleep again after praying.
9. Dare to dream. Best thing what I learned in my entrepreneur career life. Dream bigger, work hard and make it happen.
9. Dare to dream. Best thing what I learned in my entrepreneur career life. Dream bigger, work hard and make it happen.
10. I am getting closer with my God. So it seems I pray only when I'm down. But it's true. If you dont have any shoulder to lay on God will help you with a thousand ways. He works with a mysterious way.
